CMoR Birthday Party Packages are designed for families who enjoy an exciting, well-organized party in a one-of-a-kind learning environment!

The party fun starts in a special celebration room, and continues with exploration of the entire Museum! At CMoR you’ll host a fun-filled, memorable event for your child at one of Richmond’s top birthday destinations.

What do I get with a CMoR Birthday Party Package?

  • Set-up and clean-up by Museum staff
  • A birthday buddy to assist with party activities
  • Full Museum admission for your guests before or after the party
  • Exclusive 1 ½ hour use of a party room. The first hour will include games and activities facilitated by the birthday buddy. The final ½ hour can be dedicated to gifts and cake.
  • Goody bag and balloon for each child

What is the cost of a CMoR Birthday?

  • $220 for CMoR members and $250 for non-members.
  • The cost includes 10 children and all adults.
  • There is a surcharge of $15 for every extra child over the 10 child limit (Maximum capacity of 20 children per party).
  • A $100 deposit is required in order to secure a reservation date and time.
  • Full payment is due on the party date.

What age should my child be for a CMoR birthday?

  • Ideal ages for our parties, activities and crafts range from 2 to 8.

What times are available for a party?

Available times are:

Saturdays:

  • 10:00 – 11:30
  • 12:30 – 2:00
  • 3:00 – 4:30

Sundays:

  • 12:30 – 2:00
  • 3:00 – 4:30

Tues-Fri:

  • 3:00 – 4:30

**Please note that you are responsible for your own food, beverages and birthday cake.

Seymour’s Spectacular Celebration

• Exclusive use of the entire museum (including all exhibits and party areas) for up to 25 children for 2.5 hours (adults are free)

• Age-appropriate games and activities led by CMoR birthday buddy

• Meet-n-greet appearance by CMoR Mascot, Seymour the Dinosaur

• Pizza and drinks for all party children (cereal bar and juice for Sunday morning parties)

• Party supplies (plates, napkins, tablecloths, spoons)

• Goody bag and balloon for each child

• Setup and cleanup by CMoR staff

Each Seymour’s Spectacular Celebration package includes 25 children (adults are free). A $300 deposit is required in order to secure a reservation date and time. Full payment is due at the time of the party.

Sundays – 9am

What are the birthday add-on options?

  • $75 for a Moon Bounce.
  • $50 for a Cupcake workshop for up to 10 children.
  • $20 for Two 5×7 group photos.
  • Add-ons are based on availability

Reservations are accepted up to 6 months prior to party date. For reservations cancelled one month or more prior to the party date, full payment will be refunded. Party dates and times reserve quickly, so don’t delay!

How do I make a reservation?
